    Description

    Dress dating to circa 1840s. Wool challis abstract print. Fan front bodice with full skirt with pocket. Hook and eye closure at back.  Bodice has stays and is lined in tan cotton. Sleeves are lined in a cotton print. Completely hand stitched.  AS IS rough poor condition. The skirt is quite tattered with large holes (hard to capture all them in the photos), tattered lower sleeves, wear at underarms, stressed and shattered fabric on bodice and skirt, and a hole on the bodice front near center. One stay is broken...feels like turkey feather type. Some newer hooks were added at back closure to allow more room. Waist is 24", bust approx. 32", length 55".
