1950s Black Knit Boucle Dress w/ Beads & Rhinestones Nubby Stretch Wool Sz M - L

Description

Wonderful vintage wool boucle knit dress with embellished neckline and three-quarters sleeves, from about the early 1950's. There were no labels. Size can vary because it stretches; I tightened the waist elastic to about 27" for the photos, but it will stretch to about 37".
The bust and hips will stretch too.
I also added shoulder pads
(not included)
for the photos  to show the almost 18" shoulders.  With shoulder pads and a belt this could probably be worn by a size 8, or it should fit up to at least a size 12, but please check all photos and measurements to decide. Shoulder seam to bottom of hem is about 44" but this dress will be shorter if you belt it and allow the top to blouse out. There were about 8 to 10 small holes which I carefully repaired. (see close-up photos) The inner waist elastic can be replaced to fit your size. Vintage boucle knit should be gently hand washed, and stored in sealed moth-proof bags.
