Antique Victorian 1880s Silk Floral Brocade Mourning Gown Dress Ruffle Lace WOW
This stunning dress is made of the most beautiful textiles. It's silk damask with viney flowers and gorgeous textures. The sleeves are ever so slightly puffed at the top. Large silk bow on the rear with matching silk ribbon decorating the chest. Lovely glass buttons. Beautiful Chantilly Lace throughout the chest, collar, skirt, and cuffs. The skirt looks like it was whipped stitched at some point, not sure why. Displays excellently, looks almost museum quality on a mannequin. This however has a little wear to the interior. The sleeve of the dress, particularly around the shoulders of the lining have some damage. Some rusting to the hooks and eyes and loose boning. Over all very good condition for study, and display. The exterior silk is stable and is worth a fair bit alone , even without taking into consideration how beautiful this dress is. 36 in bust, 28 in waist.
