Black Cotton Calico Work Dress Victorian

Fresh from a Maine attic, I will be listing this dress with many others found in the same trunk carefully packed away with 1900 newspaper and cedar branches. Please see the auctions, I am always happy to combine shipping.
At first I wasn’t sure if this was a night gown? But I think not. It is very loose as seen when not belted (belt not included)
I think this is an everyday word dress. Black with a little white pattern. Gathered at the wrists and pleated at the back and front. Buttons with sweet carved jet buttons.
There are many areas that have been patched or are worn. Too many to show. This dress is very worn.
