This sheer vintage black dress in chic shirtwaist styling has kimono style bodice with lateral tucks, V-front opening with self-covered buttons and loops, and shoulder pads.
Two piece narrow shawl collar and sleeve bands look opaque black.  There is an opaque tab on the left shoulder which I assumed was for attaching a brooch or jewel clip so that the pin wouldn't damage the sheer fabric.  The flowing flared skirt has two sections of shirring below the front waistline seam. Metal zipper on one side under the arm works well.  The only flaws  noted were: some inside seam edges appear frayed, and two small darkened spots near the hem (see second last picture, a dime is shown to give comparative size of the spots).  A few seam stitches had come loose above the zipper, but this was neatly repaired.  Very clean, even the underarms are clean.    Belt loops at side waist, but no belt is here.
No labels remain, but I think the sheer fabric may be silk.
