for DeKups Disposable Paint Cup System by Devilbiss
The DeKups Disposable Paint Cup System is a marvelous system by Devilbiss. It allows 360* paint gun movement without the paint cup leaking on your paint job. The problem comes when you try to buy the DeKups Quick Release Adapter to mate your Harbor Freight Gravity Fed Spray Gun to the DeKups System.
Here's how to check to make sure you are getting the correct adapter:
If the outside diameter (O.D.) of the
Paint Cup Adapter
's male threads, that PROPERLY mates your Harbor Freight Spray Gun
to its
P
aint
C
up
's female threads (meaning that the cup screws onto your spray gun without interference and seats properly)
, is approximately 15.65mm - 15.90mm (see photo), then our DeKups Adapter (DPC-1115) is the right adapter that will properly fit your Harbor Freight Gravity Feed Spray Gun to use with the DeKups Disposable Paint Cup System by Devilbiss.
If your
Paint Cup
has male threads and screws directly into the female threads on your paint gun, then this DPC-1115 is NOT correct DeKups adapter for you (Search Ebay for our DPC-1116, instead).
The Adapter that we supply is a True
DeVilbiss
OEM part. It works great - I use it myself. I can paint inside door jambs, fender wells, the bottom of door skirts and under bumpers with the paint gun upside down without any paint running down my arm!
NOTE: Don't try to make an ILL-FITTING DPC Adapter work by forcing it onto your Harbor Freight Spray Gun, you will ruin the threads and possibly split the spray gun casting or the aluminum adapter casting from wrong-size adapter being screwed into the Harbor Freight Spray Gun. It almost fits, but not quite - it binds noticeably before completing 2 turns. If the adapter binds, then DON'T INSTALL IT, it is the WRONG adapter for your Harbor Freight Spray Gun.
Check the picture closely
. The DPC-1115 is the correct DeKups adapter for your HF spray gun if BOTH of the following are true:
1) Your HF spray gun utilize a
Paint Cup
with FEMALE THREADS and attaches to your spray gun with
an
Paint Cup Adapter
that has
MALE THREADS, and
2) The
Outside Diameter of the
MALE THREADS of your proper-fitting
Paint Cup Adapter
measures approximately
15.65mm - 15.90mm
.
(HOWEVER, If your
Paint Cup
has male threads and screws directly into your HF paint gun body's female threads, then this DPC-1115 is not the right adapter for you - search Ebay for our DPC-1116 auction, instead.)
