Handlebar Switch Assemblies - Left & Right - Yamaha RD400 - 1976-1979
Set of reproduction left & right handlebar switch assemblies for the Yamaha RD400 from 1976-1979. It's common for the stock switches to wear and corrode from decades of use. Sometimes the stock wires become brittle and break easily, so pick up some new switches and get back on the road!
If you are running aftermarket handlebars check to make sure the 21" wire harness is long enough. Both switches are designed to have the wires run outside the handlebars.
Wire harness overall length = 21"
Left Switch Wire colors: 9 Male bullet terminals, light green, dark green, black, brown/white line, blue/black line, yellow, yellow/red line, pink, dark brown
Right Switch Wire colors: 2 Male bullet terminals, blue, red/yellow line, dual female bullet terminal blue/black line, 2 pin plastic terminal red/white line & brown
Replaces Yamaha Part Numbers: 1A0-83973-02-00, 1A0-83975-00-98, 1A0-83975-01-98, 2V0-83976-00-00, 1A0-83973-02-98, 1A0-83973-01-98
Note:
1978-1979 models may require modification to the wiring connections. 1979 model does not use the light switch. Check photo closely before purchasing.
