Jane Powell - gold lame evening jacket worn to many events - Debbie Reynolds etc

Description

A gold lame evening jacket owned and worn by legendary MGM star Jane Powell, from her personal wardrobe.
She wore this jacket on many occasions, including to a Bloomingdale's party with husband Dickie Moore, a reunion event with fellow MGM co-stars Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor, and another NYC event with Arlene Dahl and Gloria DeHaven. Some images of her wearing it are shown here and are for reference only and do not accompany the jacket. There are other images of her in it as well, all of which can be found online. It must've been a favorite wardrobe piece as she wore it multiple times.
In some of the images she has rhinestone clips at the shoulders which are no longer on the jacket.
It's in good condition with a minor spot of fraying on the front which can be seen in the images. It has three hook and eye closures on the front, lined in a mauve silk, labeled by Fontayne.
