Colorful hand painted hand crafted Ocarina Clay Flute from Peru
Painted in bright acrylics.
Ocarina is about 4 in x 3 in and 1 inch thick.
The Peruvian Ocarina - Dating back 12,000 years, the Ocarina is considered one of the oldest musical instruments in the world.  Predating the Inca  Empire, the Ocarina is known to have been used by the Tiawanaco and Wari Cultures of the same region.  The Ocarina was used in significant ritual ceremonies, agricultural festivals, war dances, bird calling and daily entertainment.  The Ocarina has been hand formed out of clay, hand painted and baked in a wooden oven to give it a distinctive sound and appearance.
