Rare! Antique Victorian Edwardian Gibson Girl Leather Covered Wire Curlers/Pins.

DESCRIPTION:
Set of 6. These extremely rare leather curlers were popular from the Civil War to the late Victorian/Edwardian era.
Wires covered with leather & hand stitched. Essential early hairdressing/curling accessory.
Some may or may not have a inner cloth covering.
CONDITION & REMARKS:
Good condition.
Discolouration from hair oils.
Some of the stitching, most probably from thread deterioration, has come loose over time & left those areas thread bare.
Wire can be seen coming out of one of the curlers end due to loosed stitching.
Will need some stitching to close.
Leather may have some wear & some age flaking.
