A gorgeous antique silk wedding dress, perfect for study, pattern copying, or repair/ creative reuse. Dates to the 1890s; fresh from an excellent local estate collection. Skillfully stitched from light, airy, 100% silk taffeta fabric, with generously puffed sleeves, a sturdy lining to both bodice & skirt, and lavish lace accents. Overall fair condition. Will best fit women's sizes Small & X-Small. I haven't attempted to launder the dress. Nonetheless, it is relatively clean & free from odors & all ready for use or display. Here for sale is a gorgeous antique silk wedding dress, perfect for study, pattern copying, or repair/ creative reuse
. Dates to the 1890s; fresh from an outstanding local estate collection. Skillfully stitched from light, airy, 100% silk taffeta fabric, with generously puffed sleeves, a sturdy lining to both bodice & skirt, and lavish lace accents. Overall fair condition. Or more specifically: the silk taffeta is extremely fragile & liberally splitting pretty much everywhere, while the linen linings &
lace trim
are in good to very good condition, with only minor wear or raveling to the lace at the elbows and at the very top of the collar

am a professional, full-time seller; I take my online sales very seriously, always posting multiple clear photos of every item, as well as stating its exact measurements and mentioning any flaws VERY clearly in the item description. I will not cancel any transaction due to the high bidder's failure to thoroughly read the listing or examine the photos before placing a bid. To do so could jeopardize my eBay seller status. I strive for the greatest accuracy in all of my listings. I double-check each and every measurement -especially when dealing with vintage clothing or artwork- and post only photos in which the colors appear just as they do in real life.
Rest assured all items are guaranteed to be exactly as I have pictured and described them.
Vintage clothing sizes often differ markedly from contemporary clothing sizes. (i.e., a 1930s "Large" may be closer to a modern Small or Medium. To that end, I require that bidders purchasing vintage clothing must accurately know their correct clothing measurements in standard US measurement sizes.
At my discretion, a refund in full or part may be granted if I have inadvertently made a highly significant error in the item description and/ or photos.
In such circumstances, refunds will be considered only for buyers with more than 10 visibly excellent feedback ratings- following the safe return of said item. Buyers with "Private" feedback must make their feedback ratings visible before any manner of refund is granted.
