Vintage Chinese Kingfisher Blue Bird Feather Fabric Silk Shantung Mini Dress
This vintage Chinese kingfisher blue bird feather fabric silk shantung mini dress dates from the 1960s. It is made of an opulent Chinese shantung silk fabric with a chartreuse green color background, varying shades of iridescent blue resembling the feathers of the highly prized kingfisher bird, with a floral vine leaf bird print pattern design outlined in a raised silver thread couching work. This elaborate Chinese fabric cocktail dress has a mini dress short skirt style, with Mandarin collar, long tapered sleeves, a high empire waist, back zipper closure and is fully lined in a green nylon fabric inside. The dress measures 33 inches long, with a 35 inch chest, 29 inch waist, 40 inch hips, 22 inch long sleeves, a 14 inch neck and 14 inch back. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a luxurious high quality fabric custom made piece of wearable art!
