A very stunning original vintage 1950s dress created and sold by Jonathan Logan brand. A dark navy blue silk that has a bit of texture, it used to be called shantung silk but no longer is described that way; there are tiny flecks that are created from the way the silk is woven. I find it to be quite attractive and gives character not just plain boring silk. The overall design is very lovely and figure flattering; small self covered buttons 3/4 down the skirt, waisted bodice, 3/4 sleeves and a beautiful white cotton Peter Pan collar that is decorated with navy blue fabric rosette buds and embroidery green stems and leaves. The 2 1/2" wide belt is stiff and will not collapse while wearing. A semi circle full skirt that would be delightful if worn with a crinoline!! Truly an elegant and so much fun to wear dress. NEW OLD NEVER WORN WITH THE ORIGINAL PRICE TAG STILL ATTACHED. Size 9, yesteryear.  See above for approx measurements, I would say it is a today's size extra small to small.
